Facts | Truths

There’s a ginormous difference between ‘fact’ & ‘truth’ -especially with regards to the body of Christ. The dictionary tells us they are basically the same, but if they were ‘the same’ -literally, then why have two words to describe the exact same thing? In my opinion? Someone had entirely waaaaaay too much time on their hands.

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.

When it comes to God -a life in God & with God, our worldly understanding of ‘facts’ & ‘truths’ begin to change. What we know to be as facts or truths are no longer the same. We are no longer bound by the worlds definition of what is factual for us -no, we now look to God for His truth.

The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn’t be able to tackle. -Jesus (Matthew 17:20 tmb)

For instance —->

The fact is, is that my life is completely upside down right now in about a thousand and one ways, but the ‘truth’ is —-> through Jesus Christ, it won’t stay that way.

The ‘fact’ may be -the economy sucks, but the ‘truth’ is —-> God will supply ALL of our needs.

The ‘fact’ may be -you have a deadly disease, but the ‘truth’ is —-> Jesus died on the cross that you can be healed.

The ‘fact’ may be -the doctor told you you will never have children, but the ‘truth’ is —-> Nothing is impossible with God.

Once upon a time, I was a ‘fact’ & ‘logic’ junkie -purposefully poking holes in everyone’s life theories & scientific discoveries, but the truth is —-> I was searching for something bigger than my own understanding, I was seeking something I would never fully wrap my mind around.

It took a few years for me to come to grips with the ‘fact’ that I would never know everything. I don’t care that I don’t know everything about God. But what I know as TRUTH —-> is that he’s always got my back.

Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.” (John 8:31,32 tmb)

That is all.
